Dragons Lair Martial Arts Centre bills itself as Kilkenny's biggest martial arts and fitness centre, home to several styles of traditional Japanese martial arts.

Led by chief instructor Shihan Larry McEnroe (7th Dan Jiu Jitsu, 5th Dan Kyujutsu, 1st Dan Ken Jutsu, and an unarmed combat instructor for the Irish Defence Forces), the school teaches Jiu Jitsu, Kyujutsu (the way of the bow, in the Yamabushi Ryu style) and Ken-Jutsu (Japanese swordsmanship).

It has a dedicated archery range, and its club archers hold Irish, European and World titles and help coach students of all ages and abilities. The timetable covers Little Dragons (ages 5-8), Junior Dragons (ages 9-14), a Saturday kids' class and adult evening classes. A Beat the Bully after-school programme builds street awareness, fitness and coordination.

All clubs belong to world governing bodies.
