Kilkenny Shotokan Karate Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit karate club based at Loreto Secondary School on Granges Road in Kilkenny. The club offers a holistic, applied approach to Shotokan karate that goes beyond sport, linking basics (Kihon), forms (Kata), sparring (Kumite) and self-defence (Goshin Jutsu) as connected practices.

Training focuses on practical self-protection and personal development, guided by the Dojo Kun principles, with only light competition-based training for variety. The club also runs a self-defence course and hosts guest seminars with senior instructors.
