The Exeter School of Tai Chi Chuan teaches traditional Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan, a Chinese martial art renowned worldwide for its health, fitness and wellbeing benefits. Founded by Tom Collingridge and Helen Kingdon in 2007, the school follows the teachings of Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang and Master Chen Ziqiang.

Weekly in-person classes are held at the St Thomas Centre, Church Road, Exeter, covering a challenging mix of holistic exercises designed to build strength, flexibility, coordination, relaxation and balance while training the mind to become calm and focused.

Classes are suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, and the school also offers a free weekly class for those with mental health problems, private 1-2-1 tuition, and outreach sessions with elderly care home residents and other diverse groups.
