Founded in 2001, Leigh Boxing & Fitness Gym was established to give the young people of Leigh the chance to learn boxing while improving mental and physical fitness, self-discipline and dedication.

The club has gone on to produce over 650 international, national and regional champions, with current members Paddy Hewitt, Will Hewitt and Ella Thompstone representing Team GB on the Olympic squad. Beginners are always welcome — you don't have to box to train here.

Classes cover boxing technique, self-defence and fitness for all levels, including a dedicated women-only boxing fitness session and a Junior Boxing Academy for ages 9–14.
