North East Jiu Jitsu (NEJJ) is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy founded in 2015 by Ellis Younger, a 1st Degree Black Belt under Darragh O'Conaill. Based in Crowther Industrial Estate near Newcastle and Durham, the academy has grown from a small group training in a factory side room into a thriving club home to British, European and World champions.
NEJJ offers classes for all ages and abilities — from kids aged 4+ and teens, to adult beginners and advanced practitioners. Sessions include Gi, NoGi, MMA, ladies-only classes, open mats and private tuition, all delivered across a state-of-the-art 120 m² mat space with modern facilities. Affiliated to East Coast Jiu Jitsu in Dublin, one of Europe's top gyms.
