Painfree Pilates

PainFree Pilates offers physiotherapy-led clinical Pilates classes in the Dublin area, including small-group mat classes in Swords at Holywell Community Centre and in Malahide. All classes are taught by experienced Chartered Physiotherapists with specialist modified-Pilates training through the APPI Institute.

The 50-minute sessions include a warm-up, main body and around five minutes of relaxation, and focus on posture, core stability, strength and flexibility while reducing injury risk, particularly for the neck, back, shoulders and hips. Class sizes are kept small so the instructor can give individual attention, correct technique and offer modifications.

Specialist content covers osteoporosis, menopause, Long Covid recovery and diaphragmatic breathwork. For practising at home, PainFree Pilates Online is an app membership with 400+ on-demand classes for all ages and levels. Participants need to be able to get up from and down to a floor mat independently, and should bring a mat, a small towel or block, and water.
