SBG South Shields is a world-class martial arts and combat sports gym opened in 2024, offering beginner-friendly classes in MMA, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi & NoGi) and Wrestling for kids, teenagers and adults. The facility features 225sqm of premium MMA/Jiu Jitsu matting, an 18ft training cage, boxing ring, punch bags and a strength & conditioning area.
Classes are led by experienced coaches including Coach Alex Enlund — a Cage Warriors World Champion, former UFC fighter, and Black Belt in both BJJ and Kickboxing, as well as coach to UFC fighter Davey Grant. With programmes spanning fitness, self-defence and competitive fighting, SBG South Shields caters to all goals under one roof.
