Takemusu Aikido Society is a non-profit aikido school teaching traditional Founder's Aikido as developed by Morihei Ueshiba and preserved by Morihiro Saito sensei. Part of the Aikikai organisation and a member of the Irish Martial Arts Commission, it runs classes at Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre in Dublin 4 and in Balbriggan.

Led by head instructor Raman Bekarevich, who trained for ten years in Japan, sessions stress basic (kihon) technique, gradually progressing to practice against non-cooperative partners and flowing techniques, followed by regular sword and staff work.

The classes suit beginners and advanced students alike, there are no competitions, and a kids' class and family sessions are on offer. A free trial class can be requested through the contact form.
