The Axis Centre is a community-owned, not-for-profit multi-purpose facility in the heart of Newmachar, opened in August 2014.

It offers a fitness suite, a wide variety of weekly fitness classes (from high-intensity workouts and body conditioning to muscle toning and relaxing stretches), a large main hall equivalent to three badminton courts, a meeting room and studio, outdoor training, children's activities and parties, and a youth club.

Run as a registered charity, it is open seven days a week and caters for all ages in the local area and beyond.
