The Climbing Academy – The Mothership is Bristol's home of bouldering, set in Barton Hill. It's one of the friendliest places in the city to start climbing: just turn up, hire shoes, and get on the wall with no experience needed.
As well as open bouldering, the centre offers inductions, adult courses, youth classes, personal coaching, yoga, a café open to the public, and a gear shop. Community socials — including Queer Climbing, ESEA Boulder Social, Refugees Rock and more — make it a genuinely welcoming space for everyone.
