True Virtues Jiu Jitsu is a beginner-friendly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy based at YMCA Wimbledon, coached by 1st Degree Black Belt Mike Buckman-Cowling with over 14 years of experience.

The academy offers Fundamentals Gi classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays, No-Gi grappling on Thursdays, a dedicated women-only class every Thursday evening, and a Junior programme (ages 8–15) on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Built around expert instruction and the seven virtues of Bushido, the academy regularly hosts world-class seminars — including ADCC World Champion Ffion Davies — and supports a growing competition team. No experience is needed, all memberships are rolling monthly with no contracts or joining fees, and your first class is always free.
