Walker-Pilates was founded by Jo Walker in 1990 and is based at St Giles Community Hall in Balderton, Newark.

Jo brings decades of expertise — including qualifications in Applied Sport & Exercise Science Biomechanics, Combined Physiatry & Kinesiology, and Muscle Corrective Therapy — to a range of weekly classes designed to help everyone strengthen and stretch at their own pace.

Classes include Pilates-Strong (available online and in-person), Pilates-Fix (specialising in osteopathic issues and peri-menopause/menopause), Chair-Fit (accessible to all fitness levels), and Pilates for All Ages using free weights, bands, balls, sliders and more.

Jo is also credited with creating the Traverse Weighted Muscle Technique™, delivering effective muscle isolation in less time. Sessions are friendly, fun, and breathing-focused — you're even encouraged to laugh.
