Dansen Lidingö Stjärnvägen

Dansen Lidingö is a dance school located at Södra Kungsvägen 68 in Herserud on Lidingö, catering primarily to children and young people. The school is run as a limited company by four owners – Edvin Kilian, Nicole Kilian, Philippa Klondiras and Alexander Klondiras – and places great emphasis on quality, personal commitment and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The course offering spans several styles and levels. Showjazz develops body control, musicality and stage presence, while streetdance and breaking explore styles such as hip-hop, locking, popping and house. For the youngest participants, children's dance is offered with a focus on play, rhythm and the joy of movement. Those wishing to pursue dance more seriously can apply to the elite groups or Kompaniet, which require an audition and involve training several times a week. Dance camps are also held during school holidays.

Upon enrolment, all pupils automatically become members of Föreningen Dansen Lidingö, whose aim is to strengthen dance culture on the island with a particular focus on the streetdance scene. The association works in collaboration with the organisation United Souls.
