The Feels is a movement, yoga, dance and somatic centre in Södra Hammarbyhamnen, Stockholm, located at Hammarby allé 53. It is a space where somatic intelligence, embodied movement and non-dualistic philosophy meet, where sensation is the teacher and movement is the language. From sweaty dance sessions to deep stillness and recovery, everything has its place here, because everything is practice, on and off the mat.

Classes are held in the studio space called The Hearth and are led by instructors specialising in areas including Yin, yoga, Pilates and dance-inspired forms. The programme includes classes such as Twerkout, Shake The Dust, Embodied Yoga, Somatic Storytelling and Embodied Yin, a considered mix of creative expression and body awareness. The Feels also organises seasonal gatherings and retreats.

The studio offers teacher training programmes rooted in somatic and embodied yoga tradition. The first programme, Depth 100h, is led by Satu Tuomela and Lina Jarl. Booking is done via the integrated scheduling system on the website.

Authentic Flow

SEK 180 · 1 credit
Authentic Flow is one of the leading styles of somatic yoga in the world today. It is a practice of presence rather than performance, where authenticity isn't a goal but a way of being. It is a return to the felt truth of the body, moment by moment: letting sensation, breath, sound, and space speak, and letting movement arise as something you are rather than something you do. Drawing from non-dual Somatics, Body-Mind Centering, intuitive movement and dance, sound and voice, yoga, mantra and breath, and non-dual Tantrik philosophy, each class becomes a dialogue between inner and outer, self and environment, opening the door to nervous system resilience, emotional clarity, and embodied connection. Expect guided exploration through a beautiful soundscape. The body leads, sound and breath support, and truth is sensed and lived rather than sought. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to come closer to what's already here.Show more

Dance Church

Dance Church Not really an ecstatic dance or a class. Your school disco, kinda grown up and gotten cool. We’re taking over the floor at The Feels for a night/morning of movement with no rules except: show up and move. The playlist jumps decades, deep cuts and singalongs, the tracks that made you (possibly 😎) sneak into your parents’ room to dance in the mirror, and the ones blowing up right now. Held with guidance and stoke! Mostly free, so nobody’s watching to see if you’re doing it “right.” This is somatic dance wearing its party clothes. All the permission-to-feel-your-body-boogie!Show more

Earth Flow™

EARTH FLOW™️ A heartfelt, (hopefully) non-dogmatic gathering around yogic and shamanic virtues where we connect to Spirit through the matter of our bodies. As a diverse tribe, even if just for a moment in time, we come together in an organic, wild and free exploration of the elements through animalistic movements, āsana, breath and sounds. This class also offers occasional drumming, smudging and medicine songs and is an open, yet sometimes unapologetic invitation to stand in your own power. Do you dare to do so in a world full of gurus, guides and dogmas? Let the teacher know if you’re sensitive to smoke and smells.Show more

Embodied Yin™

Embodied Yin™ invites us to explore our multidimensional capacities for healing by listening and sensing with the whole body-mind. In this class we create gentle (sometimes more dynamic) long-held postures and somatic practices soaked in a beautiful soundscape with an attitude of Maitri — loving kindness. The practices stimulate energy flow in the meridians and energy channels, and work to restore, rewire, and replenish the nervous system. During these Yang-infused times, Yin — and the rebalancing of Yin-Yang dynamics — helps us stop, reset, and respond as we begin again.Show more

Not your daughters Pilates

(But if she wants to come, she's welcome too. 😎) This is Pilates for bodies that have lived a little, bodies going through perimenopause, post-menopause, or just done pretending 20-year-old training advice still applies. Expect strength work that respects joints, bones, and hormones instead of fighting them. Expect to sweat, and also to laugh. No optimizing your body into submission here nor pretending menopause is a problem to fix. Just a smart, grounded and fun movement that builds real strength for the decades ahead. If the name made you smirk, you're exactly who we made it for.Show more

Shake The Dust®

✨ Shake the Dust is more than just a workout- it’s a transformative, embodied practice of the body, heart, and mind, and a form of activism through movement. Each session invites you to shake off what no longer serves, personally and collectively, and to reclaim your body as a powerful tool for change. Guided by a poetic theme and an epic playlist, we move together through waves of shaking, jumping, resting, dancing, intuitive flow, plus elements of yoga, Pilates, somatics, and bodyweight strength work. This is a space where movement becomes a statement, where you can sweat, release, and build a resilient body while also grounding into the values and vision for a better world. This is a practice for ALL. Whether you’re a yogi, a seeker, or simply ready to move with purpose, Shake the Dust is your invitation to take up space, break patterns, and come alive. Please bring your water bottle to this class!Show more

Somatic Ecstatic Dance

Somatic Ecstatic Dance is a living ritual. No choreography, no performance, no right way to do it. Just you, the music, the room, and whatever needs to move through you. Sensation leads. Gravity catches. The body finds its own way home. Guided by somatic principles and a carefully crafted soundscape, this is a space where ecstatic states are not accidental , they’re the point. Release, rapture, stillness, connection. All of it welcome. All levels welcome. No dance experience needed.Show more

Somatic Storytelling™

Somatic Storytelling™️ Somatic Storytelling™️ is an immersive practice exploring the relationship between neuroscience, the intelligence of the nervous system, art and the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind shapes what we notice, what resonates, and how a story is experienced within the body. While the story is shared, every experience is unique, filtered through our memories, emotions and lived experiences. Through guided storytelling, participants are invited into a state of presence and curiosity. Body awareness, gentle somatic practices and optional movement create space to observe the body’s natural responses as stories inspired by neuroscience, mythology, nature and the human experience unfold. Rather than asking, “What does this story mean?” Somatic Storytelling™️ asks, “What is happening within me as I experience it?” The story is the invitation. Your experience is the practice.Show more

Somatic Yin

Somatic Yin holds postures long enough for tissue and nervous system to actually change but the holds aren’t necessarily static. Guided by Body-Mind Centering, small intuitive movements are welcomed within each shape, letting the body sense, unwind, and find its own way rather than fixing a pose to endure. Sequencing follows the Taoist meridian lines, working specific tissue, element and organ systems as it goes.Show more

Sound Journey FREE

Join Paula for a 75-minute restorative sound journey created with crystal singing bowls, gong, percussion, and naturescapes. This sound collage supports you as you journey inward and expand into all that is. Each session includes guided meditation, gentle breathing, and grounding exercises that help facilitate self-regulation and calm the nervous system, ideal for overactive minds, easing anxiety, and supporting overall mental wellbeing. You're welcome to lie down or sit, and to move as space allows, without disrupting others. Having worked closely with dancers and yogis, Paula understands that people often need to move in order to release tension held in the body and process sound somatically. Come be in community, expanding into a field of sound while finding focus within.Show more

The “secret” yoga club

Long before the Yoga Sutras gave yoga its structure, it was already alive in the Tantrik traditions: a doorway and a ritual for the Self, where breath, sound, movement and stillness were sacred technology. Yoga has grown a lot since then, and that evolution is part of its story too. This class simply goes back to where it began: philosophy, asana, breath, mantra, and meditation, held inside the Tantrik roots that started it all. One full, honest practice, old and new held together. No dogma, no prerequisites. Just come and feel it. There is no music in this class, only some harmonium playing.Show more

Twerkout

Twerkout is a blend of somatic exploration, sacred sensuality, ass and abs workout and twerking. Connection, foundation and playfulness are 3 key words of this class. We focus on presence rather than performance with intention to refine the brain- body connection, Proprioception and coordination. Come shake what ya mama gave ya.Show more

Yin, Healing & Sound

Think nap time at preschool, but for grown ups, and with a yummy touch of energy healing techniques to move our spirits together with Yin positions to anchor into our bodies. This class is like a long, etherial yawn, yet somehow earthy. Yin settle us into our deepest tissues around organs, ligaments, joints, and bones in a subtle way, cherishing them into allowing energy to move freely. Consensual, gentle touch (from oneself also) and Reiki healing fosters relaxation which can reduce anxiety. Disclaimer: It can also unlock the feelings needed to be felt and transcended! The class wraps up with a savasana embroided by ASMR and live sounds that speak to your heart and cradle into rest before gently coming back home to the body. We all shape this experience together. Warm welcome.Show more
