Accessible Chair Yoga (ACY) is a specialist chair yoga organisation based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, dedicated to making yoga available to everyone regardless of age, ability, or physical and mental condition.
Co-founded by Liz Oppedijk and Kathy Ran, ACY promotes chair yoga as a safe form of exercise, trains teachers in specialist chair yoga methods, provides resources for accessible yoga practice, and sponsors research into yoga's effectiveness in healthcare and social care settings.
Classes and sessions are available in person in St Albans as well as online, with a particular focus on supporting people living with Parkinson's, MS, stroke, cancer, dementia, and learning disabilities.
