Capoeira Bemvindo Angola is a North London-based capoeira group that has been promoting Capoeira Angola since 2012. Led by Fortaleza native Paulinha Martins — who has been practising since the 1980s and teaching in the UK since 2005 — the group offers weekly classes for adults and children, monthly open rodas, workshops, summer camps and visiting teacher events.

Classes cover striking, evasion, movement, traditional percussion and instruments, as well as the history and cultural roots of capoeira. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, the group welcomes everyone into a community built on discipline, resilience and camaraderie.
