CityGym Limerick

CityGym is a lifter-run powerlifting and strength gym tucked away in the heart of Limerick City, with an old-school feel and a focus on serious training. The floor is loaded with competition-spec equipment, including Eleiko and ER competition racks, over 5,000 kilos of calibrated plates, deadlift platforms and a wide range of power and specialty bars.

Handpicked machines such as the Hammer Strength plate-loaded chest press, Cybex dual axis overhead press, cable rows, lat pulldowns and leg extensions sit alongside dumbbells, dip stations and calf raises. The gym welcomes powerlifters, bodybuilders and anyone who just loves moving heavy things.

Beyond open gym access, CityGym offers online powerlifting coaching, a beginners' Learn to Powerlift programme, day and week passes, and hosts the European Powerlifting Conference. Its team is among the most successful in Irish powerlifting.
