Counter Grappling is a Sheffield-based Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and No-Gi Grappling team established in 2022, located in Stocksbridge. Taking an ecological approach to teaching, they build fundamental skills through live training and games, encouraging students to adapt techniques to suit their own body type and style.

Classes are mixed level and open to all — from complete beginners to advanced competitors — with morning and evening sessions available, as well as private tuition. Head coach Jack Hampshaw holds a black belt with over 11 years of BJJ experience, while coach Paula McHale has over 7 years of training and competing in both BJJ and no-gi grappling.
