Galway Martial Arts Academy is a family-run, family-oriented dojo founded in 2006 by Sifu David Buckley, a 5th Dan in Kenpo Karate. Classes run at dojos in Carnmore and Caherlistrane, County Galway, for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Children's programmes are split into Pandas (4-6), Tigers (6-10) and Dragons (11-15), teaching martial arts alongside life skills. The adult programme centres on Kenpo Karate, a practical, self-defence-based striking art that builds confidence, fitness, flexibility, discipline and focus.

The academy also teaches Taiho Jutsu / Ju-Te-Ryu (locks, holds and restraint techniques) and Tokushinryu (a modern weapons system). Private lessons, school self-protection programmes and corporate days are also available.
