Hajime Judo Club is an award-winning judo club offering classes for children and adults across Yorkshire, with locations in Harrogate, Leeds (Horsforth), Selby, and Skipton. Founded by Sensei Balazs — a former international competitor with over 30 years of experience — the club provides kids' classes (ages 5–15), adult classes (15+), and women-only courses (ages 10+).
The ethos centres on respect, discipline, and community, teaching members to use balance and technique rather than force. All beginners learn to fall safely before progressing to throws, with structured programmes suitable for complete beginners through to experienced judoka.
