Semokwan-Ryu Hapkido Academy has been bringing a working self-defence system to South-West London since 2002, with classes in Clapham, Battersea and Kennington.
The academy teaches Hapkido — a traditional Korean martial art combining the kicking of Taekwondo, the circular redirection of Aikido, the throws of Judo and the jumps and rolls of Kung Fu — as well as Tai Chi 太极拳 24 Step. Classes are available for children, women, mixed adults and private students, with online sessions also on offer.
The academy is open six days a week and runs special events and summer holiday courses.
