Maiwand Martial Arts

Maiwand Martial Arts GB is an international organisation for a multi-style martial arts and self-defence system, affiliated with WAK (the world's largest martial arts association, recognised in over 110 countries).

Classes cover kick-boxing, padwork and MMA combat training, weapons work (nunchaku, stick combat, broad-sword, long-staff), and self-defence drills including take-downs, knife defence and empty-hand techniques.

Approximately two hours long and mixed-ability, sessions begin with cardio warm-up and stretching before moving into skill work, pad drills and weapons or lock-and-throw techniques. All instructors hold DBS clearance, child-protection training, first-aid certification and WAK insurance.

The organisation hosts regular gradings, national and open championships, referee courses and seminars across London and the UK.
