Nishibu Karate offers traditional Shotokan Karate training for children (age 5+) and adults across several locations in Naas, Newbridge and Maynooth, including weekly Newbies and Mixed Grades kids classes at Maynooth Community Space.

Classes are taught by Ru Mew, a 3rd degree black belt (Sandan) who trained for five years as a full-time instructor at Hombu Dojo Karate in Dublin before founding Nishibu Karate in 2025. With a background in drama facilitation, children's entertainment and music, Ru brings a fun and dynamic style to traditional karate.

The first class is free, with separate free trial sign-ups for kids and adults.
