Sakura Martial Arts was founded in June 2019 by Clare Potter (5th Dan Shotokan Karate) and Natasha Barlow (5th Dan Shotokan Karate, 2nd Dan Kickboxing, Purple Belt BJJ). Together they bring over 30 years of martial arts experience to a full-time centre in Devon.
The school offers Shotokan Karate for all ages — from Karate Kidz classes for 4–7 year olds to open classes for ages 8 and above — alongside Ladies' Self Defence courses, Anti-Bullying workshops, and seminars. With no contracts, pay-as-you-go pricing, a large timetable, and free parking, Sakura is built around family values and a passion for martial arts.
