Founded in 2004 and based in Taunton, Somerset, the Taunton Longsword Association (TLA) is a club that researches, interprets, and trains members in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).

Specialising in the two-handed longsword following the German tradition as formalised by Johannes Liechtenauer in the 1400s, TLA also trains in sword & buckler, Italian rapier, medieval dagger, poleaxe, staff weapon combat, and sabre.

The club has a diverse and welcoming membership with an approximately 60:40 male-to-female split, and caters to all fitness levels and backgrounds. Training takes place on Wednesday evenings at the Albemarle Centre in Taunton.
