Team Rankine Karate

Team Rankine Karate is a family-friendly traditional Shotokan Karate club based in Wigston, Leicester, offering classes for all ages and abilities — from Tiny Rankines aged 3–5 right through to Adults Only and Advanced Karate. The club is led by Chief Instructor Sensei Michael Rankine, who began his karate journey at age 12 and opened the Wigston dojo in 2017.

Team Rankine is the only karate club in Leicestershire with two World Karate Federation Accredited Coaches, and many students have gone on to represent England at English, British and European level competitions.

Classes include Kata, Kumite, Traditional Karate, Ladies Only, and age-specific groups, all held at the dedicated Wigston Magna Karate Centre — a state-of-the-art dojo with mats, mirrored walls, private changing rooms and bespoke training equipment.
