Capoeira Sheffield (Tucum) has been teaching this Afro-Brazilian art form in Sheffield since 2005. Classes blend kicks, escapes, acrobatics, dance and live music, and are designed to be accessible to all ages and fitness levels — from 11 to 91.

Led by Contra-Mestre Raul and a small team of experienced instructors, sessions use games and movement challenges to build coordination, strength, mobility and capoeira technique, progressing towards the traditional Roda circle.

Adult classes run on Tuesday evenings at the Central United Reformed Church and Thursday evenings at Croft House; a monthly social Roda is also held at the New Barrack Tavern. Beginners courses run periodically, and a free first session is available.
