Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy (WBBA) is a premier martial arts academy based in Woodhouse Park, Manchester, housed in an 8,000 sq ft facility. Founded by second-generation martial arts instructor Sensei Eddie Bates, the academy has roots stretching back to 1982 and welcomes students aged 5 to 101 of all abilities.

WBBA offers seven disciplines including Kenpo Karate, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Traditional Ju-Jitsu, Judo, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Eskrima, as well as specialist Ladies Self-Defence classes and private one-on-one sessions. The academy prides itself on building respect, discipline, confidence, and community.
