Yorkshire Martial Arts (YMA) is a martial arts academy established on 1st January 2023, led by Chief Instructor Mr Ewan Hewett — a former firefighter of 21 years and martial artist of over 35 years. Based in Tadcaster, YMA teaches four disciplines: Wadō-ryū Karate, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, and Kobudo.
The academy offers a two-week free trial for new students and holds regular grading/graduation events throughout the year. Members also have access to an on-site fitness suite equipped with a treadmill, elliptical trainer, cardio cycle, and functional cable machine.
