Reformer Pilates in York

4 reformer pilates studios to discover.

Last updated 3 November 2026

York has four dedicated reformer pilates studios, spread across the city rather than concentrated in one spot. MOVA Studios in Holgate and The Pilates Space Embrace Challenge Enjoy Change both hold 5.0 ratings, making them the highest-rated of the group. Rise Reformer Pilates York sits in Bishophill, close to the historic centre, while Pxy Reformer Pilates serves the Acomb side of the city, a residential area west of the river. Each of the three neighbourhoods currently has a single studio, so choosing between them often comes down to location and commute rather than the number of options nearby. Most sessions use the sprung carriage-and-spring apparatus in small groups, though class sizes and timetables vary between studios. This page compares the four York studios by area and rating, so visitors can see where each is based and how they stack up before booking a class.
