Buddhistiska Gemenskapen KTG

Buddhistiska gemenskapen Karme Tenpe Gyaltsen, abbreviated KTG, is the national organisation for the Karma Kagyu school in Sweden and belongs to one of the oldest lineages within Tibetan Buddhism. The community is active in several locations: the Buddhist centre Karma Shedrup Dargye Ling is situated in Mälarhöjden in Stockholm, the retreat farm Solbo (Karma Dechen Ösel Ling) is located in Fellingsbro outside Örebro, and a locally rooted group exists in the city of Örebro.

The activities in Stockholm offer regular weekly meditation sessions. Stillness meditation is held every other Wednesday, both in person and via Zoom, with a focus on calming the mind through silent sitting. On Sundays, Chenrezig meditation is practised — a Buddhist practice connected to compassion and wisdom — led by Lama Tsultim Rinpoche. Both of these programmes are free of charge, though voluntary contributions are welcome.

In addition to the regular gatherings, the community organises day retreats and multi-day retreats, including the summer camp at Solbo. The association is affiliated with Sveriges Buddhistiska Gemenskap (SBG) and offers membership that supports the continued running of the non-profit activities.
