Wisdom Works Yogastudio

Wisdom Works Studio in Reimersholme, Stockholm, is a yoga centre with a varied weekly schedule of classes and courses in yoga and meditation.

The offering covers several styles: Yin Yoga in various formats — including Lunch Yin and Yinyoga & Yoganidra — as well as Kundaliniyoga & Meditation, Hatha Yoga, and the longer course Female Balance Yoga, which combines yoga, breathwork, mantra chanting and Ayurvedic wisdom.

On Thursday evenings, free meditations and talks within the Buddhist tradition are held by Vipassanagruppen. The class Yoga för Stela Män is aimed specifically at men with some experience of yoga. The atmosphere is calm and inclusive — several classes are open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners, and many sessions are donation-based or offered on flexible terms.

The studio is run by Magdalena Mecweld, the pioneer behind the first yin yoga teacher training programmes in Sweden and author of the books Vila dig i form med yinyoga and Vila dig stark med yinyoga.
