Tameside Karate is a well-established karate club based in Ashton-under-Lyne, led by Sensei Julian Mallalieu, a 7th Dan with over 45 years of martial arts experience and Joint Head National Kata Coach for the English Karate Federation.
The club offers classes for all ages and abilities — from Lil Dragons (ages 4–6) to juniors, adults, and dedicated sessions for kids with AD/HD. In addition to traditional Shotokan karate, the club teaches traditional weapons (Kobudo) including Bo, Kama, Nunchuku, Eku Bo, Sai and Tonfa, as well as Batto-Do.
Training takes place in a respectful, inclusive environment that promotes courtesy, discipline, self-confidence and personal growth.
