Chapeltown Karate Club was founded in July 2001 by Sensei Gary Baker (6th Dan), a British Army Veteran with over 40 years of martial arts experience in Shotokan and Wado Ryu Karate Do. Based in the heart of Chapeltown, Sheffield, the club welcomes children from age 5, juniors, and adults of all ages.

Classes cover life skills, self-discipline, motivation, fitness, balance, flexibility, focus, and coordination. The club runs a dedicated New Starters class for 5–10 year olds, as well as junior, senior, and mixed-grade sessions throughout the week, plus Pilates on Wednesday evenings.
