Ginga de Quilombo is East London's Capoeira academy, established in 2003 and led by Mestre Israel and Contra Mestre Liong.
For over two decades, the academy has brought together a diverse community of movers, fighters, musicians and dreamers united by the spirit and roots of Capoeira — an Afro-Brazilian cultural practice combining self-defence, acrobatics, dance, music and song. Classes welcome all levels, ages and backgrounds, with no sign-up fees required.
