Plymouth Karate Academy (PKA) was founded in 1999 by Sensei Stuart Hick and teaches traditional Shotokan Karate and effective self-defence for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. All instructors give their time freely, keeping fees low while maintaining high technical standards.

The academy offers a welcoming, friendly dojo environment with over 60 years of combined instructor experience, including regular training with the Japan Karate Association. PKA Kids classes focus on bully-proofing, self-confidence and self-discipline, and there are no lengthy or expensive contracts.
