The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Birmingham is the Midlands' only dedicated Iyengar Yoga studio, founded in 2002 with the blessing of BKS Iyengar himself. Based in Acocks Green, the colourful, fully-equipped studio offers classes for all levels — from complete beginners and ladies-only sessions to intermediate, teachers' and therapeutic classes for back problems.

All classes are led by qualified IYA(UK)-certified teachers, with director Jayne Orton holding a rare Advanced level certification awarded personally by BKS Iyengar. Many classes are also available online.
