Westwood Karate Academy was established in 1993 by Alan and Carol Parrish and teaches traditional Shotokan karate to children and adults of all ages from 4 years upwards. Classes are held 7 days a week across six venues in the area — including the Honbu Dojo in Leigh-on-Sea, plus locations in Canvey Island, Hockley/Hawkwell, Westcliff, Rayleigh, and Rayleigh MegaCentre.

Instructors are highly qualified black belts with national and international competition credentials, DBS-checked, first aid trained, and fully insured. Whether you are looking to improve fitness, build confidence, compete at national or international level, or simply enjoy a martial art with the whole family, Westwood offers a welcoming and structured programme for everyone.
