Stockholms buddhistcenter

Stockholms buddhistcenter is located in Södermalm and offers meditation, Buddhist teaching and community activities within the framework of the international movement Triratna Buddhist Community. The programme includes drop-in meditation, Meditation Mondays, half-day workshops in the Foundations of Buddhism and Buddhist Meditation, themed Dharma Evenings, and retreats at the centre's own retreat facility Dharmagiri, north of Sala.

Activities are led by ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order and are held in a format that emphasises community and depth of practice rather than rapid throughput. The centre is part of a Western Buddhist tradition founded in 1967, with the aim of making Buddhist practice accessible in a modern context — something that is reflected in how the courses are structured and in the inclusive perspective that runs throughout the organisation.
