Transcendental Meditation - Veda House

Transcendental Meditation – Veda House is one of 20 TM centres in Sweden and is located in Södermalm in Stockholm. Transcendental Meditation (TM) is taught here, a specific mental technique that is taught individually by authorised teachers.

The course takes place over four consecutive days and combines personal instruction with follow-up sessions in small groups, approximately 1.5 hours per session. There is also a hybrid option where the first session takes place in person and the rest online.

The atmosphere is calm and guidance-oriented – not a class format in the traditional sense, but a structured learning process with ongoing teacher-supported follow-up.

What distinguishes the TM technique from mindfulness and other forms of meditation is that it requires no concentration, focus on breathing, or effort – the technique is based on a natural transcending of mental activity.

The organisation behind it is non-profit (MIKI, Maharishi Institut för Kreativ Intelligens) and offers an income-based membership fee as well as scholarships. Suitable for those who wish to learn a research-backed meditation technique with personal guidance, and who are interested in documented effects on stress, sleep and mental clarity.
