Veda House

Veda House is a wellness centre located on the corner of Högalidsgatan and Slipgatan in Södermalm, close to Hornstull underground station. The centre combines three main areas: Transcendental Meditation, Maharishi Ayurveda, and a specialist shop selling health products.

Through the centre, information sessions on Transcendental Meditation are offered — a meditation method described as a tool for increased energy and personal development. Within the Ayurveda strand, visitors can book health consultations based on pulse diagnosis, aimed at creating balance and wellbeing. The centre also offers treatments in accordance with the Maharishi Ayurveda tradition.

The shop, which is also available as an online store at shop.vedahouse.se, specialises in Maharishi Ayurveda products. The centre is open on weekdays between 12:00 and 16:00, and has separate telephone numbers for the meditation and Ayurveda sides of the business. Veda House has among other things received film director David Lynch, a well-known advocate of Transcendental Meditation, which gives an indication of the centre's international connections within the TM movement.
