Gongspace Studio in Vasastan offers gong baths – a form of sound meditation in which participants lie down and are enveloped by vibrations from large gongs. The sessions on offer are Gongbad 60 min in a group setting and an individual gong bath of 90 minutes, and the idea is that gong baths can be booked frequently and regularly as part of a recovery routine. Each session follows a fixed structure: participants make themselves comfortable on a mattress with a blanket and pillow, waves of gong sound fill the room, and the session ends with silence to allow the experience to settle. The format is instructor-led and focused on deep rest – no movement element, no performance.
