Pro Gym

Pro Gym is one of Stockholm's oldest gyms, located in Södermalm and in operation since 1982. The focus is on strength training with solid equipment – many of the pieces and machines have been built on site, which gives the gym a character that sets it apart from modern chain gyms.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, without the performance pressure that can characterise newer training facilities. Over the years the gym has produced competitive bodybuilders with medals to their name, but the majority of today's members are recreational trainers looking for a genuine training environment. It is a gym with history and personality rather than an anonymous fitness centre.

Suited to those who value an authentic strength training environment, want to avoid the crowds of large chain gyms, and prefer a venue with a long tradition.
