Matrix Martial Arts is a modern martial arts school in Glossop led by Sensei Jake Johnson, a World Champion 5th Dan Black Belt. Taking a mixed approach to martial arts that combines mind-body intelligence with skill and agility, Matrix offers classes for all ages and abilities — from Ninjas (6–8 years) and Juniors (8–13 years) to Adults and a dedicated Ladies Beginners class.
Training takes place in a fully equipped dojo with padded flooring and walls, a range of bags and pads, and a comfortable viewing area for parents. All instructors are registered with the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association (BMABA), and student licences include BMABA membership and insurance.
Matrix was named Fitness Business of the Year 2026 in Glossop and the High Peak.
