Acem Meditation

Acem Meditation is an international meditation organisation with operations in Stockholm, located at Drottninggatan 85 in Norrmalm. The organisation was founded in Norway and has long been established in Sweden, offering a wide range of courses and retreats for those who wish to learn or deepen their meditation practice.

The method taught is called Acem Meditation and is based on the participant sitting comfortably in a chair, closing their eyes and repeating a so-called method sound lightly and without effort. The technique has been evaluated through research and has been linked to reduced stress, improved sleep and greater inner calm. The courses are aimed at both beginners and more experienced practitioners, and are offered both as in-person sessions in Stockholm and Uppsala and online.

In addition to introductory courses, Acem organises intermediate courses, retreats, yoga weeks, group psychology courses and international gatherings at the course centre Lundsholm in Värmland. The organisation is active in around ten countries, and the Swedish website offers a calendar of ongoing activities, a meditation blog and a webshop with related products.
